St. Moritz:
The Herdeg Sun
To commemorate St. Moritz’s 160th anniversary, we produced a short film that was shown at the Segantini museum for The Herdeg Sun exhibition. As the original winter holiday destination, St. Moritz has defined luxury and exclusivity since 1864, establishing itself as a pioneer in the global winter tourism industry. Our focus was to celebrate this legacy while paying tribute to the renowned sun iconography created by Walter Herdeg in 1937—an emblem that has come to symbolize the resort’s distinctive place in both pop culture and high society.
The film was crafted to bring this visual symbol to life, seamlessly blending archival prints with contemporary cinematography to highlight the resort’s rich history and enduring allure. We aimed to capture the essence of what makes St. Moritz unique—its status as a trailblazer, its cultural significance, and its timeless appeal. This project for the St. Moritz tourism board was designed to resonate with both long-time admirers and a new generation of luxury travelers, ensuring the resort’s iconic brand remains as vibrant and relevant as ever.
